The firm had successful partnerships with BEA Systems and Hewlett-Packard and its products were distributed in both Europe and Asia. In 2001, Applied Reasoning was recognized by Deloitte & Touche as the 232nd fastest growing technology firm in the U.S. over a five-year period with revenues of more than $10 million.

Scott received a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
